THE FIRST CRUSADE

So many died from fighting and diseases. The battle was at Nicaea, Antioch and that's where they won. By 1099 July, they had captured Jerusalem. (What Happened) A Christian victory. Jerusalem stayed in Christian hands for over 80 years. Some Christians even built castles and settled in the holy land. A group of fighting monks, the knights Templar. stayed in the holy land to protect christens. (The result) |
The People CrusadeThe date was 1096 (date) A monk called Peter the Hermit. (the Leader) A few thousand peasants some knights, woman and children (Took part) The what was known as an army was poorly trained and had few proper weapons. They were very badly prepared very soon they were short on food and water. After a long dangers journey to the holy land they were all slaughtered by the Muslim Turks (what Happened) An easy Muslim Victory (The Result) |
