Cruel crusades
Robert was captured by Atabeg of Damascus a fierce Turk. Robert was a Crusader. So he was beheaded, his body was feed to the dogs and believe it of not but his scull was used as a drinking cup !!!
There were there were other crusades not just the ones I have listed. Some never made it to the Holy Land. Some people were no were near it. Others did but were killed by ballet or from starvation including illnesses. The great period of the crusaders ended in 1291 when the Muslims captured the last Christian town of Acre and slaughtered every Christian they could find. After almost 200 years of trying, the Christian crusaders had failed to keep control of the holy land.
Crusaders who had died aboard didn't want to be buried in Muslim soil so they had instructions for there bodies to be sent home if they did die. The problem was the journey home was a very long way and the bodies would get mouldy. The solution was easy and more or less hygienic, the bodies were boiled in a big tub of oil, the flesh was removed and the bones were sent home.
(yes discussing.)
Children's Crusade !! Yes there was a children's Crusade Thousands of boys and girls followed a 12 year old French shepherd boy called Stephen on the journey to the holy land. It was a tragic story as only one child ever returned home.
THE PHOTO
This Eye is to represent the emotion that they go through. The black pupil that looks like its growing witch represents the death and war growing and around witch is the blue part of the eye shows the people around the death and that is blue it represents that things a frozen or not in good conditions. The water coming out is the crying or death and happy victory its everything surrounding it. I picked this photo because it seamed like it had meaning to it but in a artistic way Hope you like it too !!
